English
It is no longer possible to think that the English language can be separated from the international world of business. It’s the official language for negotiation and discussion. English words and expressions are increasingly finding their way into the Dutch language. A good command of English is essential for all engaged in international business. In fact a superficial knowledge of the language when negotiating with an English speaking business partner will be considered insufficient and one is regarded with respect when the delicate nuances of meaning in the language are fully mastered. This forms the link to successful negotiation.
